Must or Miss: Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy
I’ve been test driving a lot of new products lately, and I can’t wait to share my findings with you! Whether it’s because I’ve run out of a product and want to try something new, or I need a product to solve a summer beauty dilemma, I’ve been spending my fair share of time at Sephora and the drugstore!
Now I’m a total sucker for anything that says organic, so when I came across an ad for the hair product brand “Organix,” I was sold! I was beyond excited to try the shampoos and conditioners, mostly for the fact that they are available at drugstores and are a reasonable drugstore price. I gave myself one condition; wait until I was out of my current shampoo and conditioner, because if I liked the new products, the old ones would never get used again, and what a waste! So not green.
So yesterday was the big day! I happily drove to my neighborhood CVS, headed straight for the hair product aisle, and promptly began to have indecision anxiety. There were six different formulas! On the very top shelf was the Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy formulation, and something told me that was the one I should choose. My hair is very thick, and there’s A LOT of it, (picture Maria Shriver here). It’s also naturally wavy, and I’ve been battling some major frizz in this sudden heat and humidity the east coast is experiencing.
I am a total convert after my first use! At first I was skeptical; while still in the shower, my hair had that squeaky clean feeling that really means it’s been stripped of it’s natural oils. But after combing out my locks, I realized that the shampoo and conditioner delivered on what they had promised on their bottles; they had sealed the hair cuticle! My normally soaking wet hair was light and barely wet! I decided to test my new hair with an air-dry, to gauge the anti-frizz properties.
This morning I happily awoke to dry, wavy locks; not the frizz fest I’ve gotten used to the past month. I easily flat-ironed it, and I’m happy to report that although it was 95 degrees and so humid you could cut the air with a knife today, I was frizz free! Seriously? Amazing.
I’m debating going back to CVS and also purchasing the flat-iron spray with the same formulation as the shampoo and conditioner, for an extra extra straight style! But for today, I’m super satisfied with my purchases. Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy, a Meggy must or miss? MUST!
*Shampoo & conditioner purchased for $8.29 each at CVS Pharmacy in PA.
